We were very happy to be able to do a Christmas play again for the other classes in school and for our parents. We have missed this over the last couple of years. We presented Mr Scrooge My Teacher.
It has been a special year for us also as we have been delighted to welcome our new classmates who have joined us from Ukraine. As they have been working so hard to learn English and would be spending Christmas away from their homes we decided we would do our best to learn one of our songs for the Christmas play in Ukrainian. Shchedryk is a Ukrainian New Year’s song, known in English as "The Little Swallow". Hopefully you will recognise the tune as it was later adapted as the popular carol, Carol of the Bells.
