We are incredibly proud of all the students who were shortlisted in the Allingham Arts Primary Schools Competition for art, poetry and story writing. We were complimented by the organisers for being the school with the highest number of shortlisted winners this year. When the winners were announced from the shortlist our students excelled and we had winners in the art, Irish poetry writing, English poetry writing and English story writing sections. This is a fantastic achievement considering there are entries from schools all over Donegal as well as other neighbouring counties.
The award ceremony took place as part of the Allingham Arts Festival in Ballyshannon on Saturday 8th November. It was a wonderful event with our talented students getting the opportunity to read extracts from their stories and poems and to display their winning art entries to a large audience in the Abbey Arts Centre. Conor Carney again complimented the children on the very high standard of work and thanked the parents and teachers for enabling the children to enter
